Sacramento, CA - NRA and California Rifle Association lawyers have asked the California Supreme Court to depublish the recent "Jones" case which denied application of Second Amendment righ to bear arms.
Depublication means the case cannot be cited as legal authority, but published cases are legal authority.

The request goes over the Heller case in which the US Supreme Court gave Washington, DC residents their guns back. The next case up is McDonald v. City of Chicago, which will most likely result in overruling nationwide assault weapons laws, and strip California socialist judges of their power to deny citizens the right to bear arms.
As a little historical background, when England was on the verge of being taken over by the Nazis, boatloads of donated guns from America were sent over to them just before the start of WWII.
Also, in about 1980, the Santa Monica Police went on strike for about 3-4 months. No large city police force had been on strike before this, so this was a great opportunity to get statistics on crime rates with, and without, police presence.
The sociologists were shocked to find that crime went down in Santa Monica during the period the cops were on strike by 55%. This was possible to ascertain because policie management level personnel did not go on strick and "manned" the phone banks. Thus, non-striking cops were still ttaking police reports over the phone and at police stations. Then the researchers were really shocked to discover that crime in the surrounding cities had risen 45% where there were police forces not on strike.
Trying to discover the scientific and factual basis for this result required counter-intuitive thinking from a gonverment-control freak's point-of-view, so indespensible they consider themselves to be.
Sociologists, embracing modern "Tea Party" concepts of personal freedom, finally tracked down those who were arrested in the surrounding cities to find out why they committed a crime in a city with cops, but didn't go into a city without cops. Answer: They were afraid of being SHOT by citizens with guns AND not being saved by the liberal Santa Monica police - from being SHOT by the citizens. It is in all the papers 20 years ago.
Then the law and order vengeance that arose from socialist prosecutors who refused to follow the law and common sense resulted for a public outcry and call for more cops and the 3-strikes law. After more cops hit the streets and 3-strikes felons (most of whom are illegal aliens)) started to run the California budget up by tens of billions; thus, California is nearing bankruptcy because we have too many cops and not enough guns in the hands of the citiznes.
Seems that everyone, including many conservative, forgot that there is a cheaper way to do it. Shoot the bastards!
