Obama's Policy on NASA is Lunacy!

First, we have to consider that President Obama is gutting NASA’s budget. He has scrapped the Constellation Program that would take Americans back to the Moon. There are possible resources there that could help all of us on earth with our energy needs. Former Sen. Harrison Schmitt, who walked on the Moon, says we could mine the Helium-3 that is abundant beneath the lunar surface and use it for nuclear fusion. Perhaps, perhaps not, but we are unlikely to know if we’re not going back there.

Second, why should American kids be excited about math and science when Administrator Bolden confesses that the U.S. can no longer even put astronauts in low earth orbit without help from other nations? President Kennedy led this nation to the Moon, but President Obama is teaching us to look inward. Under this administration, NASA has been grounded.

Third, this “outreach” to Muslims by NASA is, well, lunacy. Telling Muslims that they once led the world in science and technology is wonderful. They did. But that was before murderous mullahs took over control of Muslim societies and threatened with death anyone who didn’t toe the line of theocratic control.

I have a simple way for Muslim-majority nations to excel in science and technology: Have everyone read a list of Jewish scientists who have won the Nobel Prize in Physics, Chemistry, or Medicine in the past century. Then, perhaps, their leaders could stop their Israel-bashing and Jew-baiting.

They might also read George Gilder’s latest book The Israel Test. Gilder, who is not Jewish, says Israel is a wonderful test for everyone. Do we envy and resent this people?

Do we covet what they have produced? Do we want to emulate their productivity and creative genius, or do we darkly ascribe their feats to a “Zionist” protocol? Gilder holds up a mirror to anti-Semites everywhere. What do you see?

The UN is filled with anti-Israel, anti-Semitic delegates who cheer Ahmadinejad from Iran and Khaddafi from Libya. These murderous despots have stayed in power by fanning the flames of resentment against the Jews. Khaddafi says he has given up his nuclear ambitions. I’d prefer Ronald Reagan’s words: Trust, but verify. Ahmadinejad is racing to complete Iran’s first nuclear weapon. He is thought to have enough fissile material for two nuclear bombs.

The UN has dragged its feet, resisted imposing sanctions on Iran. It succeeded only belatedly in approving very lax sanctions. These are far from the “sanctions that bite” and “crippling sanctions” the Obama administration have been promising for the year and a half they squandered in meaningless “outreach” to Tehran.

Charles Krauthammer, the distinguished columnist, has denounced the new NASA mission as “adolescent diplomacy.” It’s certainly that. But NASA Administrator Charles Bolden can hardly be blamed for loyally carrying out the policies put into effect by President Obama.

We can find something else interesting in this looney story: Where are the atheizers and arch-separationists on this one? Do they support “separation of church-and-state,” but go suddenly silent when the issue is “separation of mosque-and-state?”

What would they say if President Obama had appointed a religious freedom roving ambassador whose duty it would be to travel the world taking up the cause of Christians who are being persecuted in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, and, yes, Iraq and Afghanistan? We’d have heard them scream like stuck pigs. Why are they so silent now?

This latest furor should not cover up the fact that President Obama’s policy for NASA is to go nowhere and do nothing. No wonder young kids in the U.S.—and throughout the world—are not interested. It was no small part of President Kennedy’s appeal that he pledged “to get America moving again.” And he did.

New NASA mission & Lies About Muslim achievement

I'm an engineer and space scientist with over 2 decades at NASA and the DoD. I'm tired of conservatives trying so hard to be even-handed that they give up precious ground to the lies of the left. That includes Mr. Blackwell here.

The period claimed to be the era of muslim (I intentionally use small letters to refer to these vermin) supremacy in math and science was after they had murdered and raped their way across continents and oppressed the more advanced survivors. They co-opted the advances of Greeks, Europeans, Turks, Asians....that they conquered with the most immoral, deceptive, ruthless methods of warfare that was heretofore unknown to other cultures. (Sound familiar?)

Muslims were never peaceful. Mohammad was a blood thirsty, sex crazed, pedophile who had an 8 yr old "wife". He wrote doctrine to entice men to murder and rape all non-believers. Rape and murder are not forbidden if done in the name of allah. Premarital sex was forbidden. So whether before or after death, the "prophet" claimed that men could take what they wanted and they would be rewarded with sex and salvation - either by rape or the promise of never aging virgins in the afterlife. He was more like David Koresh or Jim Jones. And the only "peaceful" muslims are those not, yet, willing to suffer the consequences of Western law to engage in violence.

And forget all the BS about the West starting things with the Crusades. The Crusades would not have been necessary had the muslim murderers not captured and slaughtered their way across the Jewish and Christian Holy Land. The Crusades were an attempt to recapture what was OURS.

Today, the grinning, slimy, leftist, mental defectives are handing over our country to these monsters a little more everyday. Time to push the leftists (all of them, Hollywood, media, politicians, teachers/professors, union leaders...) and their muslim allies off the North American Continent and back to the stone age.

This sums up where Obama's ties are!

Obama doesn't believe in our greatness, he is doing everything to destroy it. He is preventing our Farmer's in California from having the water to grow our crops. We are eating more food grown out of the country, with few rules on safety. He has stopped the oil drilling, to make us dependent on foreign oil. He is destroying our country by the debt, with no accountablity on what he is doing with the trillions. Now with NASA he is making us dependent on other countries to hitch a ride to space.

Seems to me he is making our country weak, his policies are destroying our economy. Now besides bringing thousands of refugees from Pakistan, etc. he wants to make sure they feel okay about what they have done for science, give me a break.

Tell them to leave the Christians and Jews alone, and mind their own business. Start caring about the world and people around them instead of killing them!

New NASA Mission

Obama is a "wolf in sheep's clothing". He is bent on destroying all the symbols that made this nation great. That's a muslim goal! Obama himself said "My Muslim Religion" in an interview with George Stephanapolous during the campaing and did not catch himself admitting it, until George told him: "you mean your Christian Religion, right?" Only then he corrected himself and said: "yes, yes...my Christian Religion". It was obvious that he did NOT mean it!....He is a farce and an impostor and his long time relationship with the corrupt organization ACORN, with confirmed terrorist William Ayers, et al and his allegiance to Rev. Jeremiah Wright says it All.

We apparently don't follow up because our government leaders really aren't interested in protecting the American Constitution, or way of life as long as they get elected to serve and line their pockets. We unfortunately allow too many illegal votes (by uneducated, illerate, imbisels), by those who's only interest is a welfare state for themselves and living the "good life" at the taxpayers expense.

Wow..!! Very eye-opening...

Dear Mr. Blackwell,

I really enjoyed your article. I grew up wanting to be an astronaut and have always followed the Space Shuttle missions with a passion. It really hurts my heart to see what is happening to one of the greatest accomplishments that our country has ever created. My BS in Electonics Engineering was inspired DIRECTLY by NASA. With only two missions left, my dream of seeing a shuttle go up are just about gone.

As an unemployed individual desperately seeking employment, having thousands of additional highly skilled engineers to compete against seems a bit disheartening. They are my HEROES...

Also, isn't there a MAJOR security risk to AMERICA by not having a way to get to low Earth orbit? What happens if someone with bad will secretly launches a mission to the station - we would be defenseless against an attack from orbit... completely defenseless.

Not to change the subject, but I'm trying to step back just a notch or two...

The issue with the lawsuit against Arizona (but none against CA sanctuaries), charges being dropped against the Panthers, and the NASA directive with Moslems... I'm not trying to play the race card, but honestly, it does bring a funny feeling to my stomach with the direction that things are going in our country.

Let me end with...

I'm PROUD to be an AMERICAN! I'm just beginning to think that I shouldn't watch the news anymore...
