Washington, DC - The 22 statistics detailed here prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the middle class is being systematically wiped out of existence in America.
The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer at a staggering rate. Once upon a time, the United States had the largest and most prosperous middle class in the history of the world, but now that is changing at a blinding pace.
So why are we witnessing such fundamental changes? Well, the globalism and "free trade" that our politicians and business leaders insisted would be so good for us have had some rather nasty side effects. It turns out that they didn't tell us that the "global economy" would mean that middle class American workers would eventually have to directly compete for jobs with people on the other side of the world where there is no minimum wage and very few regulations. The big global corporations have greatly benefited by exploiting third world labor pools over the last several decades, but middle class American workers have increasingly found things to be very tough.
Here are the statistics to prove it:
• 83 percent of all U.S. stocks are in the hands of 1 percent of the people.
• 61 percent of Americans "always or usually" live paycheck to paycheck, which was up from 49 percent in 2008 and 43 percent in 2007.
• 66 percent of the income growth between 2001 and 2007 went to the top 1% of all Americans.
• 36 percent of Americans say that they don't contribute anything to retirement savings.
• A staggering 43 percent of Americans have less than $10,000 saved up for retirement.
• 24 percent of American workers say that they have postponed their planned retirement age in the past year.
• Over 1.4 million Americans filed for personal bankruptcy in 2009, which represented a 32 percent increase over 2008.
• Only the top 5 percent of U.S. households have earned enough additional income to match the rise in housing costs since 1975.
• For the first time in U.S. history, banks own a greater share of residential housing net worth in the United States than all individual Americans put together.
• In 1950, the ratio of the average executive's paycheck to the average worker's paycheck was about 30 to 1. Since the year 2000, that ratio has exploded to between 300 to 500 to one.
• As of 2007, the bottom 80 percent of American households held about 7% of the liquid financial assets.
• The bottom 50 percent of income earners in the United States now collectively own less than 1 percent of the nation’s wealth.
• Average Wall Street bonuses for 2009 were up 17 percent when compared with 2008.
• In the United States, the average federal worker now earns 60% MORE than the average worker in the private sector.
• The top 1 percent of U.S. households own nearly twice as much of America's corporate wealth as they did just 15 years ago.
• In America today, the average time needed to find a job has risen to a record 35.2 weeks.
• More than 40 percent of Americans who actually are employed are now working in service jobs, which are often very low paying.
• or the first time in U.S. history, more than 40 million Americans are on food stamps, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture projects that number will go up to 43 million Americans in 2011.
• This is what American workers now must compete against: in China a garment worker makes approximately 86 cents an hour and in Cambodia a garment worker makes approximately 22 cents an hour.
• Approximately 21 percent of all children in the United States are living below the poverty line in 2010 - the highest rate in 20 years.
• Despite the financial crisis, the number of millionaires in the United States rose a whopping 16 percent to 7.8 million in 2009.
• The top 10 percent of Americans now earn around 50 percent of our national income.

The reality is that no matter how smart, how strong, how educated or how hard working American workers are, they just cannot compete with people who are desperate to put in 10 to 12 hour days at less than a dollar an hour on the other side of the world. After all, what corporation in their right mind is going to pay an American worker 10 times more (plus benefits) to do the same job? The world is fundamentally changing. Wealth and power are rapidly becoming concentrated at the top and the big global corporations are making massive amounts of money. Meanwhile, the American middle class is being systematically wiped out of existence as U.S. workers are slowly being merged into the new "global" labor pool.
What do most Americans have to offer in the marketplace other than their labor? Not much. The truth is that most Americans are absolutely dependent on someone else giving them a job. But today, U.S. workers are "less attractive" than ever. Compared to the rest of the world, American workers are extremely expensive, and the government keeps passing more rules and regulations seemingly on a monthly basis that makes it even more difficult to conduct business in the United States.
So corporations are moving operations out of the U.S. at breathtaking speed. Since the U.S. government does not penalize them for doing so, there really is no incentive for them to stay.
What has developed is a situation where the people at the top are doing quite well, while most Americans are finding it increasingly difficult to make it. There are now about six unemployed Americans for every new job opening in the United States, and the number of "chronically unemployed" is absolutely soaring. There simply are not nearly enough jobs for everyone.
Many of those who are able to get jobs are finding that they are making less money than they used to. In fact, an increasingly large percentage of Americans are working at low wage retail and service jobs.
But you can't raise a family on what you make flipping burgers at McDonald's or on what you bring in from greeting customers down at the local Wal-Mart.
The truth is that the middle class in America is dying -- and once it is gone it will be incredibly difficult to rebuild.

In charles Mana's article he mentioned the leadership of General Petrause and I agree that until we get decent leadership we will continue down the path of of the status quo. Why can we not get a person of leadership like General petrause to run and strengthen our country? At present I cannot see anyone as a leader which is tragic. There must be someone better out there to chose from!!!
Dwindling Middle Class
One day we are going to wake up and realize that there will only be two classes in the United States...those who have all, and those who have the rest, which will be nothing --- UNLESS:
(1) There must be some kind of penalty for businesses moving out of the United States to hire cheaper labor. Perhaps a large import tax, making their goods and services worthless here, spurring the growth of new businesses to fill the gap that will stay here in the USA.
(2) LABOR UNIONS must be dismantled so that they no longer can bargain to the point that they destroy the businesses that employ people. No card check, no forced union dues, no forced unions...and let the employees decide if they even need a union. Those people in unions now have been brainwashed to the point that they cannot think or bargain for themselves. I've worked for over 45 years and never once had to join a union to get the kind of salary I deserved for the work I was doing. If you are a valuable employee, you will be paid accordingly. Why should a slacker doing the same type of work be paid the same as the go-getter high achiever?
(3) We must close our borders and protect them UNTIL we have solved the illegal alien problem.
(4) We must repeal Obamacare -- there is no Constitutional basis for ordering us to purchase health insurance from the government or any other entity in a single payor system that will limit our care, our options, our medications, and preventing us from living long and full lives because some "Board" thinks we've lived long enough.
(5) We must get back to the original intent of the Constitution, and dismantle some of the courts as they are now constituted as allowed in the Federalist Papers. The two most recent appointments to the court are indicative of the socialization of this country and completely out of line with the ideals of the divinely inspired Constitution.
Common sense tells us we, the people, must take our country back, piece by piece until it resembles that which the founders intended so that we are once again, a "shining city on a hill" and a beacon of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...not a welfare state, not a country bogged down in debt and a laughing stock of the rest of the world because we have a president who would rather play golf and shoot hoops, bow to foreigners and ignore his own Country's greatness. We must once again ask for God's help and blessing and become humble enough to see what must be done to turn things around. We are strong enough...are we wise enough.
the elimination of the middle class
Americans can blame both parties for NAFTA and the repeal of the Glass Stegal Act 1996 which allowed the housing crisis to happen ten years later. We can blame both parties for selling us out and our downward spiral. We need term limitations in Congress & the Senate so we could get people who actually cared about America as a whole, & not just their disrticts & spending most of their time raising money to get re-elected.

The best way to save the middle class in America, is to put quotas on imports from overseas. The dumbocrats love quotas anyway!! It is time to stop letting the Japanese, and Chinese dump their products onto our markets. National security is the best excuse for this, and is allowed. That is the starting point. If we need cars, we should build them here. We are actually destroying our farming class too! Just look at where your food is coming from! The environmentalists are keeping water from our farmers so they can't grow food and are losing their farms ! We HAVE TO START BUYING AMERICAN AND PUT OUR PEOPLE BACK TO WORK! DEMAND IT NOW!

Obama and all the Zionist-Bolshevik-Communists backing him, because you know Obama is their shill, should be arrested for treason. They have totally ignored the Constitution. They have done everything and anything to destroy The United States. They are unabashedly giving away the necessary wealth of America so that it won't be able to function as a Sovereign Nation any longer. The United States will be an appendage to the Global Government being set up by the Zionist-Bolshevik-Communist right now.
We Americans must now take matters into our own hands and by Force, make the people who are running our Government to observe and follow and revere the Constitution in everything that they do from now on. If they refuse, they must be forceably removed from the government and if need be the States and the Military should demand marshall law because when you know that a government is committing treasson against its country, just like a captain of a ship, if he is found unable to command or is treasonable then he must be removed as captain posthaste and people with the welfare of the Country take charge now.
Americans are tired of these stupid arguments of why Obama is doing this or that. Pelosi or Barney Frank or Chris Dodd know why the Ecoinomy is tanking because their Zionist-Bolshevik-Communists comrads gave them the formula to accomplish the goal of wrecking America's Economy. These talking points and arguments between the right and left is a bunch of crap. They are just trying to suck the perceived dumb American Public into this tirade of bullshit while the Zioinist-Bolshevik-Communists-Progressives are destroying The United States. It's time to cross the Rubicon and for our Ceaser to take over the government and restore the Republic. Petraeus would be good for this since he is a descendant from an old Roman Family line.
People, we cannot wait any longer. Why would you sit idly by while a bunch of scum bags trash your car while you are standing right there watching. How much more stupid is it to stand by and watch a bunch of Treasoness Scum Bags trash our America. It is time to FLUSH OUT ALL OF THE SHIT IN WASHINGTON D.C. AND I MEAN ALL. DEMOCRATICS AND REPUBLICANS MUST GO. We must revoke the XVII Amendment where the method of acquiring Senators was chnged from the original proceedure in the Constitution where the State Legislatures would appoint their two Senators for their in Article , section.3 States where now, with the XVII Amendment the People of the States directly elect their Senators. This tremendously increases the power of the political parties and tremendously reduces the Power of the States and increases the Power of the Federal Government over the States and so State's Rights suffer again. If you are trying to elect a particular person for Senator for your state, like Alabama, the Democratic or Republican parties can gang up on your candidate for Senator financing the person that you don't want to the hilt and to the point of where the person you don't want for your state is decided by people from all over the United States.
The above is exactly how Chuck Talen, Republican and against Abortion and Stem Cell research being funded by any government especially the Federal Government, was defeated. Claire McKaskill was funded by every pro abortion and stem cell research group you could imagine and you must throw into the bunch Michael J Fox. So Missouri got McKaskill when Missoouri wanted Chuck Talent. There was also a lot of election rigging by the Syndocratic Party in St. Louis and Kansas City.
So, People, throw the XVII Amendment out and go back to the State's Legislatures choosing the two senators for their States.
