Washgington, DC - A Toyota report from Congressman John Campbell - who used to be a major car dealer in Orange County before losing his sanity and getting elected to congress:

Quote of the week: "Is there any chance that the Camry Hybrid will be recalled…I just want to find out if you expect it ever to be on the recall list, for any reason."- Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) questioning Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda and COO Yoshimi Inaba in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.  After that tomfoolery, it only got worse...

Washington, DC - President Barack Obama has unveiled his budget for fiscal year 2011. It is a monstrosity. It increases spending, it increases taxes, it increases debt, and it increases the deficit.

That's bad enough, but that's not the half of it. The spending, taxes, debt and deficit go out as far as the eye can see. The deficits average just short of $1 trillion per year over the 12-year period outlined in the budget, even with the administration's overly optimistic economic assumptions. By comparison, the average annual deficit during the years (1994-2006) that Republicans controlled Congress was $104 billion. That deficit was too high then, but this deficit simply has no comparison.

Washington, DC - "Here's what I ask of Congress, though: Do not walk away from reform. Not now. Not when we are so close." - President Barrack Obama last night referring to his call to pass the government-run health care bill.   Read Congressman Campbell's take on the ridiculousness called Hussein Obama.

When did we as a society decide that compassion and benevolence are only possible through government mandates? Maybe it comes down to the Philosophy 101 question "are people inherently good or evil?". I and many conservatives tend to be optimists, but Pelosi knows you are inherently evil. One thing I can guarantee to you is that government is inherently wasteful.

Washington, DC - Congressman John Campbell (R-CA), one of the country's true conservatives who has yet to yield his conservativism to expediency, writes today about the fiasco known as the "Pelosi Health Care Bill".

Mr. Campbell, from Orange County, spent decades successfully running businesses in California, providing thousands of jobs and successfully competing for the consumer dollars.  So his viewpoints deserve attention in light of the job-killing and economy-blasting effect of Pelosicare.

Washington, DC - Congressman John Campbell (R-CA) reports that the new Pelosi bill that promotes Obamacare is "... more costly, more controlling and closer to socialism that the previous iteration..." based in no small part because the bill creates 111 news boards, agencies, commissions and programs.

This number is more that twice that of the previous version of the bill called the "Baucas" bill that came out of the Senate.  Included in Pelosi's bill are, of course, the death panels that she spends most of her time trying to prove do not exist.
