Washington, DC - Last spring, President Obama managed to corral the votes of a half dozen formerly pro-life Democrats in the House of Representatives for his takeover of health care. Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) had been a staunch supporter of pro-life initiatives for nearly twenty years in Congress. Tragically for him, and even more tragically for the country, Stupak fell in line behind the White House. For months he had held out, bravely. Then, at the eleventh hour, he caved in. He and his cohorts switched from being pro-lifers to being “faux lifers.”

Sacramento, CA - Funny thing happened on the way to the forum.  Guns once were in the hands of the public and we had a low crime rate.  Now, especially in California, the liberal courts are trying to strip the guns from our hands and empower violent felons.  The California Rifle Association and the NRA are seeking to overturn this mess by petitioning the California Supreme Court to throw out a lower case decision's binding power.   The following, thanks to Brad Henschel who is a great friend of freedom:

Washgington, DC - A Toyota report from Congressman John Campbell - who used to be a major car dealer in Orange County before losing his sanity and getting elected to congress:

Quote of the week: "Is there any chance that the Camry Hybrid will be recalled…I just want to find out if you expect it ever to be on the recall list, for any reason."- Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) questioning Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda and COO Yoshimi Inaba in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.  After that tomfoolery, it only got worse...

Washington, DC - President Barack Obama has unveiled his budget for fiscal year 2011. It is a monstrosity. It increases spending, it increases taxes, it increases debt, and it increases the deficit.

That's bad enough, but that's not the half of it. The spending, taxes, debt and deficit go out as far as the eye can see. The deficits average just short of $1 trillion per year over the 12-year period outlined in the budget, even with the administration's overly optimistic economic assumptions. By comparison, the average annual deficit during the years (1994-2006) that Republicans controlled Congress was $104 billion. That deficit was too high then, but this deficit simply has no comparison.

By:  Charles Benninghoff Washington, DC - A stunning video has come to light from 2007 that shows Obama telling the Senate that he will seek to have Khalid Sheikh Mohammed tried before a military court.

Instead, he is now seeking to put the entire nation on trial by bringing Mohammed to New York, NY and place this monster in a civil court with all constitutional rights - the first time ever in US history this has been done for a self-admitted non-US war criminal.

By:  Josh Gerstein of Politico   Washington, DC - The Council on American-Islam Relations (CAIR) is an un-indicted co-conspirator as it is one of the fronts of the Muslim Brotherhood, the leadership of which has many past times produced the worst terrorists the world has known. For example, CAIR supports Hamas.  Now, it is learned the the Obama administration has sent Attorney General Eric Holder to a function sponsored in part by CAIR as a keynote speaker.  Many allege that CAIR should be on the State department list of sponsors of terror.

Washington, DC - Congressman John Campbell (R-CA) reports that the new Pelosi bill that promotes Obamacare is "... more costly, more controlling and closer to socialism that the previous iteration..." based in no small part because the bill creates 111 news boards, agencies, commissions and programs.

This number is more that twice that of the previous version of the bill called the "Baucas" bill that came out of the Senate.  Included in Pelosi's bill are, of course, the death panels that she spends most of her time trying to prove do not exist.

Washington, DC - Frances Rice, a retired lawyer and US Army Lieutenant Colonel, is chairman of the National Black Republican Association.  Her entry today discusses how the socialist agenda of defusing free speech is not working... More and more Americans are speaking their minds and Col. Rice is leading the way!
