Washington, DC -  Get ready to say goodbye to your elderly loved ones, children with disabilities, and others deemed “unworthy” by government bureaucrats and politicians . . . because, if President Obama's socialistic “health care reform” passes, the government will be in control of your medical care--not you and your doctor.

Sound far-fetched?

Let me assure you: this is the absolute truth.  Please keep reading this critically important Viewpoint for all the details.

You see, Mr. Obama has long had a dream -- like all of the radical Left -- to impose so-called “health care” reform on the American people.  Now, it doesn't matter if we want it or not . . . the liberal elite in the White House and Congress are determined to force it on you, me, and the rest of the nation.

But this left-wing "dream" will be a real life nightmare if it passes Congress.

What’s more, Mr. Obama’s health care advisors envision a system which will deny lifesaving medical procedures to our most vulnerable citizens in order to provide care to more “productive” citizens.  Obama plans for the government to provide medical care to an additional 50 million people who are uninsured.  That includes millions of people who could afford insurance but just won’t buy it for themselves.  And it also includes millions of illegal aliens who would be covered under Obama’s system.

Common sense tells us that we can’t create more doctors and hospitals overnight.  So, the only way to add 50 million people to the system is to ration medical care.  It’s that simple. And that means somebody has to win and somebody has to lose.

It will be a Darwinian nightmare . . . survival of the fittest--with the government defining who is the fittest.

And, quite frankly, Barack Obama and his cronies are going to get away with imposing this nightmare unless you get involved today!  So, please, read this critically important letter all the way through to see what YOU can do to stop the politicians and bureaucrats from taking over our medical care.

As a political action committee we are in a unique position to apply pressure to members of Congress who are considering support of Obama’s scheme for socialized medicine.

“If you betray the American people by voting for Obama’s scheme we will campaign relentlessly against you with the voters of your district. We will do everything we can to defeat you in the next election.”

We are taking on the Obama Administration and its purveyors of death and destruction who are, at this moment, plotting to force health care “reform” on the American people. 

The health care “reform” plan that Obama and his leftist allies are trying to cram down our throats will result in the devastation of our medical care, leaving the United States looking like a 1950’s era Soviet bloc state!

Thousands of Americans with real concerns have flooded congressional town hall meetings around the country.  The response of Obama and Democrats in Congress has been to cancel town meetings and vilify their fellow Americans who oppose a government takeover of medical care.

Why?  What do they have to hide?

How about this: Barack Obama’s health care adviser, Ezekiel Emanuel, revealed the dirty secret behind the administration’s push for “reform” when he said in a major medical journal, “Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others.” 

Excuse me, but that’s exactly what a doctor should do: put his or her patient first.  But Dr. Emanuel is saying that instead of doing his very best for you, your doctor should also consider what is best for the state.  And if that means denying you lifesaving treatment because it’s “too expensive” then that’s your tough luck.

Dr. Emanuel -- brother of Barack Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and a member of the Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research -- went on to say, “[Cost] savings will require changing how doctors think about their patients.”

But it gets worse . . .

Dr. Emanuel is a proponent of health care rationing for disabled Americans, a stand that is morally repugnant.

In fact, he advocates giving preferential health care treatment to people aged 15 to 40, leaving those younger and older to compete for remaining services.

“Unlike [health care] allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not [offensive] discrimination,” Dr. Emanuel claims.

Incredibly, he goes on to say that it is better for an infant to die than a 20-year-old because that baby “[has] not yet received [education and parental care] investments.”

Followed to their logical conclusion, Dr. Emanuel’s beliefs mean a Down Syndrome child has less human “worth” than other children;  a young woman on dialysis has less “worth” than her friends;  a middle-aged man with high-blood pressure has less “worth” than his co-workers;  an elderly lady with cancer has less “worth” than her healthier friends.

But what if it’s YOUR child, YOUR spouse, YOUR parent?  Are they, regardless of their health, “worth” less than anyone else?

My friend, it is absolutely crucial that we stop Barack Obama’s health care “reform” now.  Your help is essential.

Right now, I need you to send your maximum contribution to our campaign to defeat any member of Congress who votes for Obama’s takeover of health care. This is the only language politicians understand.

Once government is in control of our medical care, every citizen will be under the thumb of government bureaucrats who will be making life and death decisions for us.  Do we want the same people who run the post office and the motor vehicles departments running our health care system?

Obama and his radical left-wing allies know that once you give the government control of medical care you are literally giving them control of our bodies.

They know, that once the government gets control of medicine the relationship between the individual and the government is altered drastically in favor of the government.  People are suddenly dependent on the government for their very survival and will be expected to be “grateful” when a bureaucrat decides to approve a lifesaving medical procedure.

If we allow this to happen the United States will inevitably become another European-style socialist nation, where our own citizens will be required justify our value to indifferent government bureaucrats before they will approve a lifesaving medical procedure. 

We are not ready to wave the white flag of surrender to Barack Obama and the Democrats.

We are going to fight this tooth and nail. But, we need your maximum contribution today if we are to defeat Obama’s government takeover of medical care.

There is nothing more effective in “persuading” a wayward member of Congress to vote NO on Obama’s plan, than knowing that we have a large campaign war chest ready to be used against him if he votes the wrong way.

Quite frankly, unless we have the needed funds to battle Barack Obama’s health care “reform” . . . he will win.

And that will be a catastrophe for America.

The fact is, the battle lines have been drawn.  We cannot allow this health care plan to pass.

Remember the old stories about the U. S. military paying $435 for a hammer that anyone could pick up at their local hardware store for $5?  Be prepared to see that happen on a much greater scale under health care “reform”.

You see, without competition, the government bureaucrats inside the Beltway will be like lushes at a never-ending open bar.  Everything -- from syringes to wheelchairs to X-Ray machines -- will skyrocket in price . . . and you and I will be left with the tab.

What’s more, the liberals in Washington will have two ways to cover their expenses: tax us more and/or print more money.

And both will drive our economy to the brink of disaster, once again.

But wait!  There’s more!

While possible economic collapse and the Obama “death panels” -- as former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin calls them -- are bad enough, there are still more reasons to oppose Mr. Obama’s plan.

• ●      “ObamaCare” is being rushed through Congress with virtually no Senator or Representative actually taking the time -- or interest -- to actually read the mammoth 1,017-page bill. Originally, Mr. Obama and his leftist allies hoped to force “reform” on us before Congress left for the summer recess.

• ●      But, because of the steadfast opposition by concerned Americans like you, the vote was postponed until this fall, giving us time to marshal our forces and bring enough pressure upon Congress to force them to vote no on Mr. Obama’s boondoggle.

• ●      “ObamaCare” is outrageously expensive . . . costing, depending on the plan, more than a trillion dollars! Our children and grandchildren are already saddled with mountains of debt thanks to Mr. Obama’s never-ending socialist agenda, and now his health care “reform” will extend that debt to even more generations of Americans. The share of national debt for a family of four is over $150,000 right now. Under Obama’s health care plan it will skyrocket!

• ●      What’s more, “ObamaCare” will provide “free” health coverage to millions of illegal aliens who already take jobs from American citizens while paying no taxes to our government.

• ●      “ObamaCare” forces U.S. Senators and Representatives to become pseudo-doctors by requiring them to make life and death decisions through deciding what -- and who -- is covered.

• ●      “ObamaCare” takes away your right to choose your own doctor, forcing you to accept whatever doctor some government bureaucrat decides that you should have.

• ●      Health care “reform” will incorporate a computer system that will tell doctors what procedures they can and can’t do for you.
•  
• ●      “ObamaCare” is already compromised by Barack Obama’s backroom deal with the big pharmaceutical companies -- selling out Americans who need prescription medicines but can’t afford them in exchange for the drug industry’s backing. In fact, Big Pharma has pledged $150 million to aggressively promote health care “reform” . . . belying the Democrat claim that the drug industry is behind the anger seen at “town hall” meetings across the country.

• ●     “ObamaCare” will force all hospitals -- religious or not -- to perform abortions, killing tens of thousands more innocent babies every year . . . all of which will be paid for by our tax dollars.

• ●     “ObamaCare” is so shady that union thugs are being employed by supporters to exclude, intimidate, and in at least one reported case, assault anyone who dares oppose Mr. Obama’s plan.

And health care “reform” will dramatically increase the waiting period for needed surgery -- possibly until it’s too late!  For example, under our current health care system, the average wait for an MRI is two to three days.  At government-run Veteran’s Administration hospitals, it’s six to eight weeks.  In Canada, it’s six to eight months.  And the wait in the United Kingdom can be as much as a year!

How many Americans will needlessly die as they wait for necessary tests, treatments, and surgery because Barack Obama and his leftist allies in Congress and the media want to force socialistic health care “reform” on the United States?

My friend, the stakes have never been higher.  The very lives of our family, friends, and neighbors could be on the line if Barack Obama’s dreaded health care “reform” is passed by Congress.
